Stephen Ryan

New host of ABC TV's Gardening Austraila, horticulturalist, author  and broadcaster, Stephen Ryan started his own nursery almost 30 years ago and has been a passionate plant collector ever since. Viewers of Gardening Australia will recognise Stephen from his many appearances on the program featuring his stunning cool climate garden 'Tugurium' in Macedon, Victoria.

 

 

Angus Stewart

Angus is one of Gardening Australia's NSW presenters. Angus is a specialist in urban horticulture and worked in the nursery and cut flower industry before becoming a horticultural consultant and lecturer. In 1991, Angus debuted on ABC702 as a guest on the John Doyle afternoon program before joining other presenters and becoming a regular on the station. Angus has also authored three books for the ABC and is an avid plant breeder.

 

 

Tino Carnevale

Tino Carnevale is Gardening Australia's presenter in Tasmania. Tino's lifelong interest in plants and gardening stems from growing up on his family's small vineyard and olive grove. Since leaving school he has been involved in the horticultural industry as a designer and landscape gardener. Tino has worked as a volunteer for various environmental projects and has travelled extensively studying the different aspects of horticulture.

Sally Wise

Sally Wise is a passionate preserver of produce from the garden and conducts presentations on how to take produce from the garden to the table. Sally teaches cooking courses to adults on a range of topics. Sally is a guest on ABC Radio Tasmania with her "Jams and Preserves" talkback segment. Sally will be demonstrating twice a day on the Cooking Stage teaching visitors how to make their own jams and preserves.

 


Chrissie McIntyre

Dog trainer/dog whisperer Chrissie McIntyre knew she wanted to train dogs from the age of 10. The first dog she trained, her yellow labrador, became a national champion retriever and top obedience trial dog. After that, Chrissie trained several dogs for film and TV. Chrissie now shows you how to train your dogs on ABC TV's Wagging School. Chrissie will be appearing on the ABC Trailer for a meet and greet on Sunday, August 30 from 12.30pm-1.30pm. She will offer free advice before moving on to the Ask It, Solve It Stage to answer all your questions in a number of presentations at 1.50pm, 2.15pm and 2.50pm. Chris Russell

Trained as a scientist in agriculture, Chris Russell, from The New Inventors, has spent the last 30 years working in over 20 countries in agricultural and engineering projects. His work has been in areas ranging from automated processing of feed grains and crops to storage and handling of drinking water, waste water and sewerage. Chris is a self-confessed "invention tragic" and is a sought after speaker at conferences and workshops in Australia and New Zealand. Chris will be appearing in the ABC Trailer on Saturday, 29 August from 10am-11am and again from 2.30pm-3.30pm.
